About Me
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R) in New York state working in private practice. My education began in Arizona State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I went on to study at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College where I obtained a Masters degree in Social Work with a focus in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Couples, and Families. My studies continued with a Post-Masters Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice through New York University's Silver School of Social Work, followed by The Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program at the The William Alanson White Institute. My professional career started at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center of New York City where I most recently served as the Director of Clinical Services, alongside my own private practice. This extensive experience has allowed me to provide comprehensive psychotherapy with a diverse group of clients from different backgrounds, stages of life, and upbringing.
Additionally, I am trained in various cutting edge, psychotherapeutic modalities. In my work I find it useful to draw on a variety of clinical perspectives as each client brings to the process a unique set of needs, strengths, and goals. I work to help clients break away from the negative patterns they experience, whether it is in their jobs, families, relationships, or inside themselves. We will process the unresolved emotional pain within you, which often causes us to question our self-worth and purpose. It is my belief that healing and wholeness happens when the deepest parts of ourselves are understood and given a place to reveal themselves without judgment or shame. I have dedicated my career to the process of self-discovery, and I would be honored to join you on your own journey.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am,
then I can change."
